Julie Stewart, Nutrition
Julie StewartMy introduction to nutritional therapy happened when seeking solutions to my own health issues in my 30s. I was impressed and captivated by just how positive and powerful making changes to my diet lent to my recovery. This quickly led to the undertaking of extensive training in the field of Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy at The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) where I completed a 3-year Diploma in Nutritional Therapy, graduating in 2018. I continue to seek out ongoing professional development and hands-on experience, working in education, health writing, having active memberships with plant-based health organizations such as Plant-Based Health Professionals UK and WFPB.org.With a long career in the pharmaceutical profession, I have expert knowledge of pharmaceutical medicines and understand how nutritional therapy can work well alongside prescribed medications where appropriate.Balancing my time between private clients and NHS commitments, I take a scientific, holistic, and compassionate approach with clients and specialize in coaching those seeking safe and effective transition to a healthy, predominantly plant-based way of eating. One of my professional goals is to bridge the gap between standard allopathic medicine and complementary and alternative medicine, through integrated health services, supporting people to feel empowered to self-manage their conditions and ultimately take a preventative approach to healthcare.
