A fitness enthusiast, a classical dancer & a traveller, Shreya is passionate about holistic health and wellness. She fell in love with Yoga since day one, realizing that it not only made her feel better on a physical level by doing things she wouldn't imagine she could on her mat but also on a spiritual and mental level. The fluid movement connected with the breath is something she swears by.
She joined the corporate world and worked in India and SEA for few years. She is grateful to the practice which enabled her to face and overcome her own vulnerabilities and challenges at work.
Inspired to take her practice further and gain more knowledge, she completed formal teachers' training under Sivananda at Himalayas (250+ Hatha) and Indea Yoga in Mysore (250+hrs Ashtanga), (300hrs+ Multi-style style & Kundalini Yoga 250hrs) from Rishikesh. She also draws her inspiration from a diverse set of teachers she trained with in Rishikesh, Mysore, Bali and Singapore. Along with yoga teaching, she is also passionate about nutrition and lifestyle.
Shreya believes that yoga is not only what happens in the class but is actually a discipline which enables holistic development which gets reflected in one’s thoughts, words and actions.
She believes allowance of the body and mind connection helps the practitioner feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced after stepping off the mat. Her desire to share her experience with people motivated her to teach Yoga. Her class would typically include a fusion of Hatha Yoga with alignment and Vinyasa Flows with Pranayama.
